DAY 1

Our bright & early start is necessary for our flight MH3010 to Lahad Datu airport from Kota Kinabalu which departs at 0610hrs
ETA - 0705hrs at Lahad Datu airport. We will be met at and brought to Danum Valley Office for registration purposes and collection of our gate passes
From the Office we leave for 2 and a half hour trip to the Danum Valley Study Center
Where upon arrival we will register and check in
The serving of a lip-smacking lunch serves as a precursor to a slide presentation
Assemble at Danum Reception for a short brief conducted by Forest Rangers
Start of a 2km trek on a nature trail to the Observation Tower sighting for rare, endemic and common bird species such as Chestnut Brown Cuckoo, White Crown Shama, Blue Headed Pitta, Babblers, Bul-Bul and Malkoha`s
Dinner is served
Free at leisure


DAY 2

Full breakfast
Gear up and start 4km trekking to Tambaling Water Fall. Along the way, observed as we are in the primary rainforest where many of bird species awaits you. They are; Crested Fireback Pheasant, Borneon Falconet, Short tail Babbler, Red Eye Bul-Bul, Purple Naped Sunbird, Rufous Kingfisher and Jambu Fruit Dove.
We make a move and returned back to Study Center
Lunch is served and continue your relaxing pursuits of choice
We start a close side trail across the Danum Bridge sighting for rare and endemic species such as, Dark Throated Wren Babbler, Sunda Frogmouth and Borneon Peacock.
As usual Dinner is served
We engage in the last activity of the day to work off those dinner calories, by going on a spectacular 1.5km night walk for the nocturnal wildlife

Following our usual delicious breakfast
We freshen up for a photo taking session and bid farewell before leaving for the trip.
From the base, we commence our onward journey to Taliwas Forestry Center
Upon arrival, register & check in to hostel
Lunch is served
Short briefing conducted by the Forest Ranger concerning the rules & regulation(Do`s & Don’t) and followed by naturalist tour guide.
Lock & Load we make the first walk to research trail to sight rare, endemic and common bird species. Estimated 165 species of bird recorded during the 2010 research expedition. This area is to be believe the crossing route of Maximus Elephus(Borneon Pygmy Elephant) and amazingly the 8 species Hornbills Bird, can be seen flying over high canopy trees.
Buckle up and time to retreat back to base
Dinner is served
Ready for your night drive for the nocturnal wildlife species. Possible sighting for the rare & protected species. Bos Javanicus(Tembadau) and Yellow Muntjac(Barking Deer)
Returned back to base camp. Free at Leisure


DAY 4

Light breakfast
Make a short walk to riverine trail sight for the famous Oriental Darters diving in action and some several species of kingfishers hunting for small fish at swallow water. This riverine trail is gifted with many species of fruit cherry trees, where most often the Blue wing leaf bird feeding in the early misty morning break,  accompany by little green pigeon and Orange bellied Flowerpecker.
Returned to base camp for full breakfast
Pack up and check out. As a reminder, please do not leave any of your belonging behind.
We depart for Lahad Datu from the Base camp
Make a stop for lunch before proceed to the airport for your immediate flight MH3017@1355hrs to Kota Kinabalu
ETA Kota Kinabalu airport
